The ECC staff is comprised of a dedicated team of UW staff and students who work hard to provide the best customer service. Individuals looking for employment opportunities will have the chance to develop their problem solving skills and become familiar with a broad range of students and communities on campus. You will also be able to develop organizational, managerial, and communication skills by interacting with students, staff, and faculty, and the general public in a multicultural and leadership driven environment.

Student Building Coordinator

This position provides crucial support for the professional staff by assisting with the coordination of daily operations of the ECC facility during specified working hours. Duties include customer service support, assistance in the reservations process, basic operation of center and theatre facilities and the setup and cleaning of conference room furniture and equipment for programs, events and activities.


Student Event Services Coordinator

This position provides support for events that occur within the ECC.  Duties include customer service support, coordination of event service equipment, and the setup and cleaning of event spaces.


Student Program Assistant

This position is in charge of supporting full time staff with administrative tasks, planning, and budgeting.


Student Reservations Assistant

This position will be part of the ECC reservations team and will provide crucial support in the reservations process.  Some duties include customer service support, processing reservations, scheduling events, and managing budgets and finances.


Graduate Student Assistant

This position is responsible for assisting the ECC Leadership Team with high quality work pertaining to programming, advising, and administrative tasks.


Student Graphic Designer

 This position provides graphic design support to ECC staff with hard and soft copy products, including web sites.


Student Social Media Coordinator

This position is responsible for the overall support of technology and web-based interactions for the Ethnic Cultural Center.  This position will be tasked in utilizing social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. to promote events happening at the ECC.


Student Resource Coordinator

This position provides crucial support for the professional staff by coordinating the daily operations of the ECC facility during specified working hours.


Student Technical Coordinator

This position will become the intermediary between the reservations office and theatre, assisting with reservations coordination and preparation of the theatre for events. This position will collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Operations and Facilities to create a comprehensive operational infrastructure for the ECC’s theatre.


Student Theatre Technician

Theatre technicians are responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of an event and will obtain a comprehensive knowledge of Ethnic Cultural Center and Theatre facilities and operations.
