Emily Tuy (she/her/hers)

Health and Wellness Coordinator
Office 227

What are your future goals?

I’m currently looking at master programs in Social Work, Public Health, and dual MSW/MPH programs. I have a strong interest in promoting culturally and linguistically diverse mental health education and programming to increase community resilience, especially in youth populations. My hope is to strengthen our mental health services through a social justice lens, and work towards dismantling the social, economic, and cultural barriers preventing marginalized communities from accessing quality support and care.

What excites you about the position?

I’m excited to build rapport with students and advocate for their health with respect to their different social identities. I hope to be able to reach various student groups, listen to their unique stories, and promote a holistic approach to health education that targets their needs. My goal is for students to develop knowledge that they can use in their day to day life for their own well-being and to inspire others to reflect on what wellness means to them as well.
