Is Audio/Visual Equipment available? How would I check it out?

The ECC/T has a modest list of A/E equipment available for check out to student groups. All equipment is subject to availability. All equipment must be requested. Please refer to the 'Reservations' section on the main website bar above.

In house equipment check out:

-Request A/V equipment from staff at front desk
-Leave UW ID in Temp. A/V Equipment Check out Binder
-Staff will give a quick overview of how to use equipment properly
-Once equipment is returned and in original condition UW ID card will be returned
-Equipment check out outside ECC/T facility:

-Fill and sign Request for A/V Equipment Form
-Leave UW ID in Temp. A/V Equipment Check out Binder
-Three day Maximum equipment check out unless otherwise authorized by Assistant Director
-Upon equipment return, ECC/T staff will inspect all equipment to make sure it is in original condition and all accessories are returned
-Any fees due please see the Director for payment information

What are the guidelines for kitchen use?

The ECC/T has 3 kitchens available for use. Please follow the guide lines below:
If Kitchen is Reserved in Advance:
-No UW ID required
-Provide own materials (plates, cups, food, napkins, etc)
-Take out trash to dumpster in W-11
-Wipe down counters and clean up immediate area (cleaning materials provided by ECC staff)
-Return all items borrowed to ECC Staff (return items washed and cleaned)
-Let ECC staff know when finished with kitchen for visual inspection

Drop in Use:

-Must submit UW ID card at front desk
-Provide own materials (plates, cups, food, napkins, etc)
-Take out trash to dumpster in W-11
-Wipe down counters and clean up immediate area (cleaning materials provided by ECC staff)
-Return all items borrowed to ECC Staff (return items washed and cleaned)
-Let ECC staff know when finished with kitchen for visual inspection
-After final kitchen inspection UW ID returned

Where can I find information on Program/Event Co-sponsorship?

Student organizations must meet with Jeff Aquino to create and submit a co-sponsorship proposal for funding of an on/off campus events, programs and activities. If Jeff Aquino is not available to meet, Co-sponsor Guideline sheets are available in the general documents/forms area at the front desk.

What are the computer usage guidelines?

It is ECC/T policy to abide by establishing publishing restrictions and copyright laws. Accordingly, student, faculty and staff are prohibited from duplicating any restricted software.

Due to the limited number of terminals, preference will be given as follows:

-Currently enrolled UW students who are using a computer for academic or organizational needs
-Second preference will be given to UW students for non-academic needs
-Third preference will be given to OMA staff for UW business-related projects
-On a space available basis, fourth preference will be given to other UW staff and faculty who may use the terminal for UW business
-Food and drinks are not allowed in computer lab
-Users must keep documents on their own floppy disk. There is no space to save documents on the hard drives. Access to the hard drive on terminals is restricted to authorized ECC staff. All foreign files on the hard drives will be purged daily without notice.

How long can I check out books at the library?

The ECC has over 4,000 books and periodicals on ethnic and cultural issues available for check out to registered students, faculty and staff of the University. These materials may be checked out for two weeks at a time. Renewals and extensions are determined on a case by case basis. For check out details please see an ECC staff member.
