Student Mentor<\/h2>\n

\ud835\udde0\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude00 are returning students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) willing to help their first-year mentee (prot\u00e9g\u00e9) navigate the UW campus and facilitate their prot\u00e9g\u00e9’s academic and holistic development. Mentors in the MPFS program are required to meet with their prot\u00e9g\u00e9 at least once a week during Fall Quarter, attend the Mentor Training and MPFS Kick-Off during Week 1, and at least 2 other MPFS events.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud835\udde0\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff \ud835\uddd6\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf1\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01 \ud835\udde2\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddfd\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf6\ud835\ude01\ud835\ude06<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mentor Program offers 1-3 elective credit(s) option to interested and successfully matched Mentors during the participating Autumn quarter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud835\udde0\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff \ud835\udde4\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf9\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf3\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddf0\ud835\uddee\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude00:<\/span><\/p>\n

-Currently enrolled\/continuing UW students with sophomore, junior, or senior standing\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

-Good Academic Standing<\/span><\/p>\n

-Good interpersonal, communication and listening skills<\/span><\/p>\n

-Ability to empathize and provide academic and personal support to a first-year student or transfer student in the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity<\/span><\/p>\n

-Familiar with UW resources and OMA&D support services to help students transition successfully at UW<\/span><\/p>\n

-Desire and interest in helping new students feel welcomed and confident to be a successful Husky!<\/span><\/p>\n
