COMING FROM THE EAST ON 520
Travel westbound on 520, across Lake Washington on the Evergreen Point Bridge. Take the Montlake Boulevard exit. At the end of the exit ramp, you will be forced to veer right, leaving you to go northbound on Montlake Blvd (heading toward the Husky Stadium). Get in the left lane. Just after you cross the Montlake Bridge (before the Husky Stadium) there will be two left turn lanes onto NE Pacific St. You will want to be in the leftmost lane. Turn left onto NE Pacific St. Continue on Pacific St. until you reach the next intersection (third traffic signal). Turn left onto 15th Avenue. (SEE FROM 15TH AND PACIFIC)

COMING FROM THE SOUTH ON I-5 AND FROM THE WEST ON 520
Take the exit for eastbound 520 towards Bellevue.Take the Montlake Boulevard exit (the first exit on 520). Stay in the left lane on the exit ramp, and turn left onto Montlake Boulevard. Just after you cross the Montlake Bridge (before the Husky Stadium), there will be two left turn lanes onto NE Pacific St. You will want to be in the leftmost lane. Turn left onto NE Pacific St. Continue on Pacific until you reach the next intersection (third traffic signal).Turn left onto 15th Avenue. (SEE FROM 15TH AND PACIFIC)

COMING FROM THE NORTH ON I-5
Take the exit 169 marked 45th Street and stay in the left lane. Turn left (east) onto 45th Street. Continue for about ten blocks until you reach NE 15th Avenue. Turn right on NE 15th Avenue. Stay in the right lane, with the University of Washington campus on your left, for about ten blocks. Stay on 15th Avenue across Pacific Avenue. (SEE FROM 15TH AND PACIFIC)

FROM 15TH AND PACIFIC
After about one block, 15th Ave. NE bears to the left and becomes NE Boat St. Travel a short distance on Boat St., which becomes Columbia Road. The campus gatehouse will be straight ahead. Stop at the gatehouse and tell the attendant that you and your child are participating in a research study at the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (I-LABS). The gatehouse staff might be more familiar with our location as the "Old Fisheries" building. The attendant will ask you to pay $12.00 for parking (which will be refunded before you leave. The parking attendant will refund cash payments only) and will give you a permit for the S-1 parking garage. To get into the S-1 parking garage, make a right turn and then a quick left turn after leaving the gatehouse.

Drive into the middle level of the three levels (it has a railing, and once in it you will see it is marked as "Level M"), and go as far as you can toward the opposite end before parking. At the southeast end of level M (the far end from where you entered, and towards the water), please note the signs and ramp leading up to the glass doors of the Fisheries Building. There is a sign by the door identifying the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences. After you park, you will want to find your way back here.

It can be difficult to find parking near our entrance, since this part of the lot is reserved for disabled persons. Once you have oriented yourself to I-LABS' location, proceed to find parking-- either on level M or the lowest level. Park your car, and leave your parking card displayed on the dashboard.

Walk back to the I-LABS entrance, and enter the door with the "Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences Main Entrance" sign beside it. There will be a reception desk to your left when you enter the door. Tell the receptionist that you are here for the Early Childhood Cognition Lab, and she will page us. If you have any trouble following the directions en route or need to reach us, the lab’s phone number is (206) 616-6770.
