Educate

Make European rights come to life in your classroom.  The ECHRdb provides an infinite number of possibilities for teachers and students who are excited to engage with human rights through multimedia cases studies.  The case studies demystify the inter workings of the European Court of Human Rights and enable students to explore a variety of salient and pressing human rights issues.  Educators are able to complement their human rights course work by actively engaging their students in research and collaborative activities that are associated with the case studies and utilize the ECHRdb.  Case studies will be available in a variety of general topics including:

  • criminal law (violence against women, secret detention sites, terrorism, human trafficking)
  • children and parents (children’s rights, reproductive rights, parental abductions)
  • health (environment, end of life, detention and mental health)
  • work and business (companies and the ECHR, slavery, trade union rights)

Case study curriculum is currently under construction.
