OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Course
Available Online!

The online OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety course is part of OSHA's successful Outreach Program for Construction, and is currently the only OSHA-approved online version. It is intended to provide instruction on a variety of general construction safety and health standards. Students who successfully complete this online course are provided a course completion certificate and a wallet-sized DOL-OSHA completion card.

This course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry. Course topics include: Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Ladder Safety, Excavation Safety, Scaffold Safety, Materials Handling, Forklift Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Permit-Required Confined Space Entry.

1. Is this the OSHA Outreach Course that gives me my wallet-sized card from OSHA?
Yes. This course is the same as the classroom version. Using internet technology, students can now take the course 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

2. How can you offer the course so inexpensively?
The course was developed over a nine-month time frame, which was expensive to develop. By spreading the cost among the thousands of students who will use it, we have been able to "share expenses" with a greater number of people while retaining the same high quality that OSHA demands.

3. Is the quality the same? Who checked the course?
The content of the course is the same that is received in a classroom. Course content has been verified by the UW-OTI Advisory Committee, as well as the OSHA Training Institute in Des Plaines, Illinois. This course is authorized by OSHA.

4. Do I have to be a computer genius to use this course?
No, all online classes are designed to be easy to use, stimulating, fun, and provide a rewarding experience for the student.

5. How long will it take to finish the course?
The OSHA 10-hour course is designed to take ten hours to complete. Some advanced students may finish the course in less than ten hours and still receive their cards. The majority of students will finish the course in about 11 or 12 hours.
The 10 hours it takes to complete does NOT have to be done all at once, either. Once you have registered for the course, you have 90 days to complete it. You can do as many modules at a time as you want, then stop and come back to the course when it is convenient for YOU.

The course is available at for only $129.95 (price is subject to change). This course has been approved for 1.0 CEUs, which may be used toward professional certificate maintenance.
