Name: Gabriela De Pavia
Organization: Envirotest, Inc.
Year graduated from UW DEH: 1997

Five years out of college, Gabriela De Pavia is working in Houston, Texas for a company called Envirotest, Inc., where she is in charge of the Indoor Air Quality group. This group has been growing exponentially and now has 25 project managers.
"We are constantly hiring new scientists" and she particularly favors DEH graduates because "we need scientists who know what they are talking about."

Gabriela entered the department’s graduate program in Environmental Health Technology upon completing her BS in environmental health. After completing her graduate studies, she lived in New York City for two years, where she worked for a similar company and served as a liaison between the president, vice president, and managers. She spent half of her time doing indoor air quality investigations in museums and downtown buildings.

She moved to Houston to be closer to family, but she still has a passion for investigating indoor air quality.
