Why UW? Our undergraduate program has offered a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental health since 1947. We are accredited by the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council - one of only 24 such programs in the country. The University of Washington, founded in 1861, is a public research university with about 3,500 faculty and 35,000 students. It has an international reputation for research and one of the largest research libraries in North America. Each year, the UW awards about 6,000 bachelor's degrees. At such a research university, undergraduates can learn from professors who are at the forefront of generating new knowledge. The Department of Environmental Health has an enrollment of fewer than 60 undergraduates, ensuring that students receive individual attention from faculty. If you would like to find out more, please give us a call at (206) 543-4207, or e-mail us at ehug@u.washington.edu. The University offers Advising and Information Sessions. |
