It's never too early to start planning for graduate school! This
page provides information and links that you will find useful in
your search for: the right graduate school; assistance with the
graduate/professional school application process and test
preparation; and funding sources (fellowships, scholarships,
grants).
Test Preparation
Most graduate and professional programs require students to
take a standardized test, much like the SAT for college, as
part of their applications: GRE for graduate school, MCAT for
medical school, LSAT for law school, and GMAT for business
school.
GO-MAP (Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program)
GO-MAP (http://www.grad.washington.edu/gomap/default.htm)
is a division of the University of Washington's Graduate School.
GO-MAP's mission is to promote greater access to advanced studies
for students of color and traditionally underrepresented groups.
Aside from supporting UW graduate students both personally and
professionally, GO-MAP offers scholarships for UW graduate and
professional students, holds events throughout the year, sponsors
lecture series and symposia, and supports student participation
in national conferences. GO-MAP also co-sponsors many EIP events,
including the Annual Spring Research Conference held every May.
You can contact GO-MAP for information or questions at gomap@u.washington.edu. Graduate School Information
