Here is just the beginning of a list of FACTS we hope to promote in
the future. Each and every one is true for some Assistive Technology
users.
1) Expensive AT is not necessarily better
2) AT is not just something for people with
physical disabilities
3) Many AT users are self-sufficient
4) Many AT users repair and maintain their
own AT systems
5) AT should not be selected for an individual.
AT users are the most important decision-makers
6) An AT user's personal preference is extremely
important
7) AT is not always the best solution for a
disability
8) RESNA certification does not mean a professional
knows all types of AT

facts, please consider submitting it to us. Check out Submitting
Stories.
