Hank and his wife have been faced with many challenges in the past
few years, but the single most important message they want to share
is that “Life Goes On” …even after a severe stroke.
And if you are open the possibility “Life even brings new things.”
New things….like art, painting and drawing.
Hank was a Boeing Engineer for over 40 years before he retired. He
had obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering at the University
of Washington in 1949, then settled in to Boeing and concentrated on
raising a family of four children. He developed hobbies in photography
and travel, visiting such remote places as China, Turkey and Russia.
He also pursued wine tasting, joking with friends that he and his wife
were “Master Wine Tasters”. He never had the time or the
inclination to pursue art…until now.
Since a devastating stroke in 1998, Hank has difficulty speaking and
walking, but his artistry has excelled. Take a look at the beautiful
works he has created, now using his non-dominant hand, in Hank’s
Online Art Gallery.
Hank creates his artwork in pencil primarily, although he is exploring
other media. He communicates by means of a communication notebook, facial
expressions, gestures, body language and, of course........his art.
