Scott participates in many local and national activities. He advocates
for AAC users. He also educates professionals and service providers.
Scott has presented in public on many occasions:
- a panelist at CSUN’s
(California State University Northridge) annual convention
- a poster at ISAAC's
(International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
biennial conference
- participant in the Pittsburgh
Employment Conference
- testified to DSHS in Washington State for continued DSHS funding
for AAC devices
- participated in a stakeholders meeting with Washington state DSHS
- lecturer in AAC at the University of Washington

Scott received an Associate’s Degree in Business
in 1996. He is working on his Bachelor’s Degree from the University
of Washington. He has worked in these positions:
- data entry for the Washington State Liquor Control Board
- an internship with Washington state congressman John Miller
- stayed with the congressman until Miller’s retirement in 1992
- currently an ambassador for Prentke Romich Company (PRC)
