English Advising is available
to help with academic and career planning, preparation for graduate school,
and other questions
and concerns of undergraduates, alumni, and prospective
undergraduate and graduate students. We also work with
prospective and certificated teachers interested in the English Language Arts teaching
endorsement for secondary education. We're involved in the UW's annual Career
Discovery Week
,
we administer ENGL 491 internships and the English
Study Abroad Programs,
and
we
run quarterly workshops for English majors on topics such as English major skills, résumé writing,
interviewing, applying to
graduate school, and writing the statement of purpose. We provide a home
for Bricolage
,
the UW's undergraduate literary and art magazine. We work with the English Honors
Society students in Sigma
Tau Delta
.
