English major Emily Nitz-Ritter has been awarded this year's President's Medal of Excellence. This medal is given to two graduating seniors to recognize their distinguished academic record at the Univerity.
Emily is a UW and English Honors Program student and a double major with Comparative History of Ideas (CHID). She was also selected in 2012 for the President's Sophomore Medal, was nominated by the UW for the Luce Scholars Program, was awarded the Honors Gerberding Scholarship, and has been awarded two English Department Scholarships. She serves as a peer mentor in the University Honors Program.
