MLQ: A Journal of Literary History
MLQ, a journal of literary criticism and theory, has been edited
at UW since 1941. In 1993, its format and focus were revised and the subtitle
"A Journal of Literary History" added. Edited by Marshall Brown,
professor of English and comparative literature, it is devoted to understanding
texts of the recent and distant past as the representations, agents, and
vehicles of change, in their own day and in their afterlives.
SIGNS: Journal of Women in Culture and Society
SIGNS has been edited at the University of Washington by Carolyn Allen of
the English department and Judith A. Howard (Sociology) since 1995 . SIGNS,
published by the University of Chicago Press, is the largest and oldest interdisciplinary
journal of scholarship on issues of gender, race, class, nation and sexuality
in the U.S. Submissions are invited.
CCCC Bibliography of Composition and Rhetoric
The CCCC Bibliography of Composition and Rhetoric has been edited
at the University of Washington since the Autumn of 1995 by Gail Stygall.
The CCCC Bibliography is published annually and is the comprehensive
bibliography of research and scholarship on writing and rhetoric at the college
level and beyond. Applications
to be a Contributing Bibliographer are welcome and should be mailed to the editor.
ENVOI
ENVOI: A Review Journal of Medieval Literature is edited by UW
graduate Dr. James McNelis, although it is not formally affiliated with
the University
of Washington. The journal reviews current books in medieval literary
studies, and also publishes review essays with a bibliographic emphasis
which reconsider
significant work of previous years.
