Janine Shinkoskey Brodine, K-12 Director of the Puget Sound Writing Project since 2004, teaches a month-long Summer Invitational Institute for teachers on campus. She also coordinates Open Institutes in Seattle, Tacoma and on the Olympic Peninsula. During the school year, she arranges professional development workshops for schools and districts. An author and/or editor of three books including Journals in the Classroom and Missing Pieces: Memoirs of WWII, she is stimulated and challenged by both teaching and doing writing.
