MLQ, a journal of literary criticism and theory, has been edited at UW since 1941. In 1993, its format and focus were revised and the subtitle "A Journal of Literary History" added. Edited by Marshall Brown, professor of English and comparative literature, it is devoted to understanding texts of the recent and distant past as the representations, agents, and vehicles of change, in their own day and in their afterlives. SIGNS has been edited at the University of Washington by Carolyn Allen of the English department and Judith A. Howard (Sociology) since 1995 . SIGNS, published by the University of Chicago Press, is the largest and oldest interdisciplinary journal of scholarship on issues of gender, race, class, nation and sexuality in the U.S. Submissions are invited. The CCCC Bibliography of Composition and Rhetoric has been edited at the University of Washington since the Autumn of 1995 by Gail Stygall. The CCCC Bibliography is published annually and is the comprehensive bibliography of research and scholarship on writing and rhetoric at the college level and beyond. Applications to be a Contributing Bibliographer are welcome and should be mailed to the editor. ENVOI: A Review Journal of Medieval Literature is edited by UW graduate Dr. James McNelis, although it is not formally affiliated with the University of Washington. The journal reviews current books in medieval literary studies, and also publishes review essays with a bibliographic emphasis which reconsider significant work of previous years. |
