of English receives all application materials by the deadline.
Postmarks are not sufficient. Incomplete applications will not be
considered. Teaching assistantship applications must also be received
at this time. We encourage applicants to submit materials early, and
it is their responsibility to ensure that everything arrives by the
deadline.

November 1
|
In addition to departmental materials due January 15,
international applicants must submit the Graduate
School application, fee, TOEFL scores, and official international
transcripts by November 1. See

December
|
GRE scores can take six to eight weeks to arrive after
the test date. In order for your scores to arrive by January 15,
we suggest you take the GRE in October, but at the latest by the
December test date. You need to make sure
our Department of English is specified to receive scores, or further
delays may ensue.

January 15
|
Completed applications, including teaching assistantship
applications, are due January 15 for all programs.

April 1
|
MAT(ESL) applications received by the January 15
deadline are reviewed in a first round which fills most of the available
openings. MAT(ESL) applications received between January 15
and April 1 will be reviewed for admission only.
