About Jack Hatlen:

Associate Professor Emeritus Jack Hatlen has been on the faculty since 1952 and led the undergraduate program for nearly 40 years. The department has established the Jack Hatlen Scholarship in his honor.

The first recipient:

Christopher Diangco is a first-generation student in the US, born of two Filipino parents. He wants to go on to medical school. Chris has been praised for his community service, including the Minority Association for Pre-Health Students (MAPS) and volunteer work at Harborview Medical Center.
