Prior to becoming a graduate student at UW, Loren worked at the University of Hawaii Environmental Health and Safety Office managing safety and environmental compliance at research facilities. Loren's research interests include studying exposure assessment and field applications of industrial hygiene. Currently, he is coordinating an assessment of occupational exposures at a petroleum refinery in Hawaii.
