Research
Daniella is currently working in the Costa lab on eludicating mechanisms of neuron-astrocyte communication. Her future work will focus on ethanol/carbachol-induced astrocyte activity on neurite outgrowth in hippocampal slices. Her desire for a more interdisciplinary and applicable field led her to leave Chemistry for Toxicology and, ultimately, to the Tox program here at UW with a department that combines human toxicology and environmental health.
