Research

Prior to becoming a graduate student at UW, David conducted his undergraduate honors research on disinfection byproducts in North Carolina drinking waters. This research analyzed compliance with EPA drinking water standards and examined the Stage 2 D/DBP Rule in the context of disinfection byproduct precursors and treatment practices in North Carolina. Pairing this research experience with a number of environmental policy courses has led David to the University of Washington in order to pursue a course of study expanding his knowledge of environmental and occupational health hazards and policy tools used to mediate them.
