Research

Before coming into the toxicology program at UW, Chad was involved in a variety of research projects. These include the investigation of zinc uptake in brown trout fish gills, the use of freshwater macro-invertebrate population samples to monitor environmental health, and while working with the US Dept. of Energy, researching the potential to produce biodiesel by a marine microalgae, Dunaliella salina. Chad has a strong interest in xenobiotic metabolism, toxicokinetics, carcinogen tumor induction, the role of contaminant exposure in human disease, and aquatic and environmental toxicology.
