WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY AT THE UW
Our department has a long tradition of service, teaching, and research in occupational safety and health.
Services: We provide consultations, laboratory testing and clinical services. Our service activities depend on our strengths in eduction and research - and provide real-world opportunities for students and researchers.
Education: Our Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety receives federal training funds to help support students in industrial hygiene, safety, occupational medicine, and occupational health nursing. It also supports continuing education.
Research: Our department has been successful in competing for federal research grants, which support study of occupational hazards in agriculture, construction, health care, and other fields.
