Conducting Epidemiological Research in Europe and the United States

Dr. Hans-Olov Adami, MD, PhD Chair, Department of Epidemiology, Harvard University Professor of Cancer Epidemiology, Chair, Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institute Dr. Adami will share his experiences and perspectives on carrying out epidemiologic research on both sides of the Atlantic. A panel of UW faculty, students, and visiting scientists will join Dr. Adami in discussing aspects of conducting research in different countries, including methodological and logistical issues, funding, overall research climate, and cross-national collaboration.
