Epi Seminar Series

Epi Expo 2008
Tuesday, November 25
3:30 - 5:30 pm
South Campus Center, Room 303

INVITATION TO FACULTY :

This year, EPI EXPO will feature a BRAND NEW format where faculty, students and staff can meet and mingle one-on-one to discuss research interests, projects, and other topics of interest.  The Epi Seminar Committee cordially invites ALL Epidemiology faculty and students. **Please note the new date and location.**

Tables highlighting specific areas of epidemiologic research will be arranged around the room, and faculty will station themselves at a table of their choice. At 3:30, each faculty member in attendance will be asked to give a brief introduction (no more than 30 seconds: name, research area, and where they will be stationed at the EPI EXPO).  Following introductions, faculty will get to a table, and students can move from table to table to speak with professors in their interest areas to find out about their research, upcoming courses, available TAships or RAships, and more.  Even if you are only available for part of the time, please plan to attend so that you can talk with students about your research and interests in this informal setting.  We encourage you to prepare a brief handout and bring 20 copies to display on your table.  Posters highlighting recent epidemiological research by students will be on display.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Please RSVP to Nicole Basta (nbasta@u.washington.edu) by Monday, November 3rd at 5pm.  In your email, please select one of the following categories that best describes your main research focus.

***Note: If your research area is not listed, let us know, and we will add it to the list. At EPI EXPO, faculty will have an opportunity to move between tables, if they wish, but the event brochure will list the primary research area of your choosing.***
