Welcome to the University of Washington Department of Epidemiology. We offer rigorous training in epidemiologic methods and biostatistics with the opportunity to take numerous specialized electives from faculty who are leaders in their fields of research. Our students work with a large faculty on diverse research topics and in partnership with many outstanding research organizations. Funding:

The University of Washington is one of the top five schools in the nation in federal research grants awarded. With advanced planning, the majority of new students will find funding their first year, although it is harder for MS/MPH students, especially without epidemiologic research experience, interested in global health and/or infectious disease due to the large number of students interested in these areas.
