Funding
Funding
- Funding is NOT guaranteed with admission.
- Read Funding Information very carefully; follow the directions exactly to maximize your chances of obtaining funding.
- Here are some key points to remember:
- Postdoctoral application should apply for funding a year or more in advance, if possible.
- Some predoctoral fellowships associated with Epidemiology have deadlines prior to the admission decision dates.
- Epidemiology Program Office staff will make suggestions about faculty for you to contact about funding only after you have prepared as complete a list as possible first.
- You should start contacting faculty before you hear back from the Epidemiology Program Office staff.
- Most applicants without a US doctorate have to contact 20-30 faculty to find funding.
- Graduate Schools are not permitted to require you to make a decision on a funding offer before April 15, unless you have received two offers from the same school.
