Course description: This course is intended to provide a forum for doctoral students in the Department of
Epidemiology to interact with each other and to pursue topics that will be useful in completing their doctoral dissertation research. Specifically, the seminar will provide an opportunity for students, with assistance from faculty, to share experiences and information regarding: 1) generating ideas for a dissertation project; 2) forming a doctoral supervisory committee; 3) developing a short dissertation project proposal; 4) obtaining funding for the project; 5) conducting the dissertation research; and 5) presenting study results.
