Research Interests
The bulk of my epidemiologic research has focused on genetic susceptibility to cancer following low dose exposure to occupational or medical ionizing radiation. More recently, I've developed an interest in epigenetic mechanisms, particularly DNA methylation, as markers of susceptibility to cancer and the modulation of these markers by various environnmental exposures. In addition to ionizing radiation, exposures of interest include air pollution, persistent organic pollutants and shift work.
