Research Interests
My current research goals are to apply state of the art epidemiologic methods to evaluate the effectiveness of public health interventions to prevent and/or better manage chronic disease and to conduct translational research to apply evidence-based intervention to the public to promote healthy behavior. Furthermore, my research goals are to continue to study risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes and to examine the effect of these adverse pregnancy outcomes on various diseases.
Determining epidemiologic and biologic risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes, as well as examining the effect of adverse pregnancy outcomes on disease, particulary gynecologic cancers. Determining the effect of various public health interventions on health and economic outcomes for chronic disease, particulary as it pertains to applications of the chronic care model to better manage people with diabetes.
