Research Interests
Ann Glusker is the Data Request Epidemiologist at Public Health-Seattle & King County's Epidemiology, Planning and Evaluation Unit. She responds to requests for data from public health professionals, university researchers, community organizations, individuals, media, etc. This involves data analysis, research, consultation with professionals in various fields, preparation of data for release to requestors, advising requestors on sources of additional data, and connecting requestors with relevant networks. She is also involved in: special community assessment projects; developing and presenting trainings and exercises on analytic software and census data; and providing technical assistance to requestors and others in the public health department. Her research has focused on immigration and cultural patterns, and women's reproductive health issues, specifically the fertility of immigrant women. Her book "Fertility Patterns of Native- and Foreign-Born Women: Assimilating to Diversity" was published in July, 2003.
