Research Interests
Dr. Heckbert's main research interests are in clinical epidemiology, with emphasis on cardiovascular disease. Her research focuses on the benefits and adverse effects associated with drug therapy, as well as the interaction of genetic susceptibility with medication use.

Teaching Interests
Dr. Heckbert currently co-teaches EPI 533 joint with PHARM 533 "Pharmacoepidemiology" offered during Spring Quarter in even-numbered years.
