Research Interests
Dr. McClelland is interested in the epidemiology of HIV-1 in resource poor countries. His research concentrates on the heterosexual transmission of HIV-1 in Kenya, including studies of interventions to decrease HIV-1 susceptibility and infectivity in high-risk women.

Teaching Interests
Dr. McClelland will be teaching EPI 532, "Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases of Third-World Importance" starting Spring Quarter 2005.
