SOROS Fellowships for New Americans The Fellowships are grants for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. The recipients are chosen on a national competitive basis. Thirty Fellowships will be awarded each year. New Americans only. Eligibility criteria, application instructions and forms available online.
University of Washington Center for Career Services Mulitple resources available for students: resume writing, career options, internships, interview prep and more. The second web site links to a list of workshops offered through their office.
University of Washington K12 Clinical Research Career Development Program Application deadline December 10 of each year. Background information on fellowship provided, as well as links to detailed application information and materials.

Employment information from the WA State Department of Health:

Please note that the Washington State Department of Health currently requires 12 credits of epidemiology and 8 credits (2 quarters) of biostatistics in order to hold the title "Epidemiologist I". A Master's degree is not required for "Epidemiologist I" or "Epidemiologist II" positions, if the person has work experience.


From the DOH Website: Due to the development of an electronic application and new exam for this class, all candidates on the current register MUST REAPPLY and take the new exam. Old scores may not be used. The previous register will be abolished once the new register is established.

You may apply only once in a 4-month period. Applications and exam information are accepted electronically through the Internet Application System (INET) only. Please do not submit a paper copy.
