This position is responsible for leading research, primary and secondary data analysis, and research-focused grant seeking efforts within Patient Services. Specifically, this position will provide expertise on conducting research using administrative claims databases (i.e., Medicare Standard Analytical File, private payor databases, HCUP). This position will also assist the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), and the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN) to identify health services research opportunities. This position will offer technical assistance in translating research findings into health policy and patient education resources.
The Senior HSR Analyst not only has accountability for significant support of research projects but will also coach/mentor junior staff, provide input into the development of new programs and strategies to increase HSR capacity, assist with other on-going project work as needed, and actively participate as a contributing team member of the HSR team. Qualified candidates should have a Masters Degree, preferably in Health Services Research Policy and Administration. Masters degree in Epidemiology; Public Health (MPH); Public Health Administration and Policy (PHAP); or Biostatistics, with a focus on quantitative methods and research design will be considered.
