Job# 5989 - Project Coordinator (Cusco, Peru and Tena, Ecuador)
Posted: January 24, 2013
Closes: February 6, 2013
With a grant from the Gates Foundation, our nonprofit startup will be conducting two feasibility studies, in rural Ecuador and urban Peru, to see whether the use of a patent-pending immunization reminder bracelet by mothers leads to an increase in timely childhood vaccination rates. We are looking for someone with a background in epidemiology or biostatistics, feasibility studies, and/or immunizations. Advanced Spanish language abilities are required, since you will be living in Peru or Ecuador for 6-8 months. You will play a major role in designing and implementing two parallel pilots from start to finish: helping design the study, including metrics of success and data collection templates, participating in data collection, and assisting with final data analysis. Financial compensation in the form of a living stipend and one round-trip in airfare will be provided, and you may have the opportunity to be published in our research article. To apply, please email your CV and a brief (1-2 paragraph) response expressing your interest to Lauren Braun, President and founder, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify in your response which location you would prefer to work in as well as the earliest date you can start.
