The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking to fill a faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor in Residence Level. The focus of this position is on the design and execution of large-scale observational and experimental research into violence and its prevention. This faculty member will serve as Associate Director, Violence Prevention Research Program (VPRP). The Associate Director will also be named by administrative appointment as the Vice Chancellor's Chair in Violence Prevention, which is an endowed position. Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in epidemiology, medicine, or a related discipline. There must be an established record of independent and collaborative research on violence or injury with recent peer-reviewed publications and demonstrated experience in the design, conduct, and reporting of large-scale observational and/or experimental studies. Specific experience in research on violence, and knowledge and application of advanced epidemiologic and relevant biostatistical methods for observational and experimental research, are highly desirable. This position is open to both clinicians and non-clinicians.
