The Northwest Center for Outcomes Research in Older Adults, a VA Center of Excellence located at 1100 Olive Way, Seattle, in conjunction with the University of Washington, offers a PhD postdoctoral fellowship in health services research directed toward increasing skills in many aspects of health services research. HSR&D is multidisciplinary and covers all areas of health care delivery. Patients, providers, and organizations may be target populations for the research project. Individuals with a PhD from a variety of disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Fellows are expected to engage in full-time research on a publishable health services project relevant to VA, to participate in related educational activities including selected course work at the University of Washington and to participate in VA research review meetings. Available courses include a wide variety of offerings in biostatistics, epidemiology, health services research and environmental health. The annual stipend is $45,000.
