The Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP), a program of the global efforts to eradicate polio headed by the CDC, WHO, and UNICEF has currently opened its recruitment window for new volunteers. The first recruitment period will be open from February 1 to May 15, 2013 and the second period from July 1 to October 24, 2013.
The available positions are for: field teams, data management, and communications. Retained applicants are to start in July 2013 or January 2014 for a stay of approximately 5 months in polio endemic and non-endemic countries that previously had cases of polio. Traveling and living expenses for the training and during field assignments will be provided by CDC and WHO.
