Purpose of Position This position will support infectious disease surveillance activities by managing infectious surveillance data quality and assisting with surveillance system administration. Position will be responsible for conducting routine data quality evaluations, maintaining surveillance system training materials and documentation, and performing surveillance system administration tasks. This position is a Pay Band 70 Classification Description: Epidemiologists-Operational Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Science, Social Services and/or Statistics and one (1) year experience in Public Health to include data analysis and linking methodology.


  • Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
  • Must complete and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required.
