Give these questions to a classmate along with a draft of your paper.

Thesis Statement

  1. What is my thesis statment? Please underline it.
  2. Judging by the thesis statement (and before reading the rest of the paper), what is your guess as to how I will develop my thesis statement?

Supporting Points

  1. How many supporting points are ther? Put 1, 2, etc. next to them on the draft.
  2. Are there transitions between each main point? Underline the transitions on the draft.
  3. Does each of the supporting points help you believe the thesis? (Mark any that don't seem to relate to the thesis.)

Evidence

  1. Is there enough evidence for each point? (Mark any places where the evidence seems weak.)

Paragraphing

  1. Does each paragraph stick to one point?
  2. Are there any places where the paragraphs seemed too long?

Is there anything I could do to make you more likely to accept the thesis?



There is no need to give feedback on grammar and spelling unless your partner specifically requests it.
