Thelma
Adamson Prize
Congratulations to Shalini Ayyagari, recipient of the 2008 Thelma Adamson
Prize for best student paper presented at the 2008 chapter meeting. Her
paper was titled "Spaces Betwixt and Between: Musical Borderlands and the
Theory That Makes Them So (Rajasthan, India)."
The 2009 annual meeting of the PNW Chapter of SEM will be held at the
University of Washington, Seattle. Watch this site for more information
in late 2008.
Student presenters are eligible to receive the Thelma Adamson Prize,
awarded for the best student paper given at each year's meeting. Students
presenting papers should see the
