Summer Exploration Seminars: Exceptions to the rules
There are several important differences between summer and early fall Exploration Seminars. Please read the following carefully if you are planning on or considering participating in one of these programs.
- CREDITS: These programs will offer SIX summer quarter credits. Most Exploration Seminars offer five fall credits. You will not be able to apply these credits to your fall quarter credit total. Each program will offer 5 credits in one course, and 1 credit of GEN ST 392 (General Studies). This allows students to maintain financial aid eligibility in summer.
- PAYMENT: Will follow regular Exploration Seminar payment schedule. (If you are interested in changing this schedule to make program payments on an earlier date, please contact: explore@u.washington.edu).
- Non-refundable deposit due: May 1, 2009
- $500 program payment due: June 5, 2009
- Remainder of program fee due: October 9, 2009 (with fall quarter tuition)
- FINANCIAL AID: Financial aid-eligible participants in these programs will be eligible for SUMMER financial aid. For more information please contact the UW Financial Aid office as early as possible to find out what this means for you.
If you have any questions, please contact your program's director directly, or the Exploration Seminar office. |
