Leadership ProgramsUW Medicine Leadership ScholarsThe University of Washington Medicine Leadership Scholar Group was started in February 2005 with funding and support from Paul Ramsey, MD, Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of the School of Medicine, Dean of Medicine and John Coombs, Associate Vice President for Clinical Systems and Community Relations, Associate Dean of Regional Affairs and Rural Health, Professor of Family Medicine. A first cohort of thirty faculty from 23 departments has been meeting for skill development, a full day and two half day skill building session and lunches with Dean Ramsey , and has formed subgroups to tackle issues crucial to University of Washington Medicine and academic success.
