Biographical Information

Carie Cox is a Research Scientist in the Family Medicine Research Section at the University of Washington. She has over nine years of combined experience and education in public health. Dr. Cox has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and is particularly interested in utilizing mixed methods in research and evaluation. She earned her PhD from the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2011 and her MPH from the Department of International Health and Development at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2006. Dr. Cox served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon from 2004-2006.

Primary research interests include sexual and reproductive health, behavior change, quality of care, and health workforce development.
