Awards

The Liu Bie Ju Award was created by Dr. Emily Wong, (Associate Chair for Clinical Programs, Department of Medicine, Associate Professor, Department of Medicine/General Internal Medicine, Associate Director of the UW Medical Center). The award was developed to honor Dr. Wong's grandmother and is meant to encourage student interest in women's health. Any student completing an Independent Investigative Inquiry-3 (III-3) project with a focus on health care needs of underserved women is eligible for this award. A special panel of faculty experts in women's health will review eligible projects at the annual UW Medical Student III Poster Session. The award(s) will be presented to student(s) whose III3 poster demonstrates an outstanding women's health care project.
