The core curriculum serves as an introduction to issues surrounding underserved populations. Students complete this core curriculum by completing eight online learning modules and/or by attending Underserved Pathway (UP) in-person module sessions.
The module "Who Are the Underserved?" is required for all students. Students choose other modules that match their interests to complete a total of eight modules. Each module is structured differently and each requires a reflection, knowledge assessment, or other activity upon completion.
Underserved Pathway in-person module sessions are offered 2-3 times per year. Students who attend an in-person module session receive UP module credit for attendance and participation at this in-person event.
