Seattle, WA: The Cherry Hill campus site of the Swedish Family Practice residency programs is recruiting for a full time 1.0 FTE faculty position. This urban Family Practice residency is dedicated to training physicians for careers working with underserved populations. The position requires OB, and will join the current 7.4 FTE faculty on the Cherry Hill 4-4-4 campus program. Responsibilities include clinical practice 2 half days per week, shared on call and rounding duties with other faculty, and curricular development and supervision. Completion of the faculty development program at the University of Washington School of Medicine will be required of a new hire, unless such a program has already been accomplished. Seattle, WA: The University of Washington Department of Family Medicine seeks a .5 FTE to full-time physician faculty member at the assistant, associate, or full professor level to direct a new medical school program aimed at increasing the number of students entering careers serving the urban and rural underserved (TRUST – Targeted Rural and UnderServed Track). Principal responsibilities will be to develop and direct TRUST, beginning with special pathways for admissions in the WWAMI states (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho), progressing through pre-clinical and clinical medical school education, and culminating in residency training in a relevant primary care or other specialty. Clinical and educational experience in underserved settings and certification by the American Board of Family Medicine are required, and a successful record of securing external funding for educational programs is desirable.
